Police have determined the identity of a man who was fatally struck by a car while walking on a busy road in Connecticut.
The incident happened in Middlesex County on Sunday, April 30 around 3:45 p.m. on Route 9 in Middletown in the area of Exit 10, according to Connecticut State Police.
A vehicle had been traveling southbound on Route 9 just before old Exit 10 (Exit 19) when it hit a pedestrian in the right lane, police said.
The pedestrian was then taken to Hartford Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The victim, whose identity was previously unknown to police, was determined to be 22-year-old Carlos Morales-Torres of Willimantic.
The incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call State Police Troop F at 860-399-2100.
